Praying in Madinah
Madinah loses just over three hours of Fajr-to-Maghrib daylight between its longest day, 15h 11m on 16 June, and its shortest, 12h 01m on 16 December. For a city at 24.5 degrees north that is a gentle slope, and it is why the Salah times here ease along from week to week.
Madinah is the city of the Prophet's Mosque (al-Masjid an-Nabawi), and the Qibla from here is 176 degrees clockwise from true north, almost exactly south. Fajr is latest, 5:45 AM, on 10 January and earliest, 4:01 AM, on 10 June, so a winter Fajr comes nearly two hours later than an early-summer one.

Frequently asked questions
How long is the day from Fajr to Maghrib in Madinah in summer and in winter?
The span peaks at 15h 11m on 16 June and bottoms out at 12h 01m on 16 December. Even at midwinter the stretch between Fajr and Maghrib is just over twelve hours, so the difference between seasons is felt mostly in how early Fajr starts.
Which direction is the Qibla from Madinah?
Madinah's Qibla is 176 degrees clockwise from true north, which is almost due south with the slightest lean towards the east. A phone compass shows magnetic north, so check that your app is set to true north before you line up.
Which Asr time is highlighted for Madinah?
The Standard time, which begins when an object's shadow equals its own length plus the shadow it had at noon. The Hanafi view sets Asr later, and the switch above the timetable lets you highlight that one instead. Both are conventions; use the one you follow.
How many mosques are mapped around Madinah?
OpenStreetMap lists 553 mosques within 15 km of the city centre, and the nearest are shown with their distance. The map is kept by volunteers, so check a mosque's own timetable for congregation times, which can differ from the calculated start.
When does Isha come latest in Madinah?
At 8:44 PM on 24 June, and earliest at 7:02 PM on 28 November. Isha here follows Maghrib by a fixed 90 minutes, so it simply tracks the sunset: it runs latest in the weeks around midsummer and earliest in late autumn.
